Elsie & Fleur

One of the biggest interior colour trends this autumn/winter is indigo along with richer, darker shades of purples, pinks and browns. Use these colours in a dining room or sitting room to help create a cosy, luxurious feel. Pair crisp fabrics against heavy materials to further enhance this.

For a more delicate winter look, combine mint greens and light pinks with white and darker greys. This would work well in a kitchen or bathroom to create a light, airy ambience, perfect for cheering you up on those dull winter days.

Tartan is predicted to make a comeback and versions in warm colours will work particularly well. Tartan is surprisingly versatile and works on a range of household items such as upholstered chairs, curtains or a throw to have on the sofa.

Floral prints are still popular this season, but move away from bold, loud prints and choose ones in more subdued, pastel shades instead.

Leaf prints are also set to be big, choose to have it on cushions, bedding or wallpaper depending on how big an impact you want. For those wanting a more contemporary take on the trend, leaf shadows are a popular choice contrasted with subtle greens and bright whites.
