Gift-wrap serviceThe practice of giving gifts at Christmas has a long history, however wrapping presents is still a relatively recent thing.

In the 19th century gifts would often be presented in decorated cornucopias or paper baskets.

It wasn’t until 1890 that wrapping gifts in decorated paper became the norm and over the years the look of wrapping paper has also changed. Some of the first types were decorated in the elaborate style of the Victorian era. Designs started to move away from nature to ones we commonly associate with Christmas today such as snowflakes, Christmas trees and candles.

Want to get a head start on your gift wrapping this Christmas? We have some great festive designs for you to choose from. We also have a gift wrap service for those of you short of time and will dress your gifts using British designed and made ribbons too.
