Catherine van der Loos
Catherine is following in her Grandmother’s stitches. She grew up in New Zealand and moved to the UK in 1992. She has always had an interest in textiles as her Gran was a seamstress. As well as crafting, Catherine works as a CAD draughtsperson and a kitchen hand for a Somerset catering company.
She started making clothes for her children and also makes a range of other items including bags, and covers for iPads and e-readers. We’ve also commissioned Catherine to make some special Elsie bags, inspired by some Elsie made herself in the 1960s.
