Charities of the Year
This year we are really pleased to be supporting three charities - bibic, Lineham Farm and People and Gardens.
We’ll be doing all we can to help raise awareness and funds for the charities including donating money from the sale of specific products to each charity as well as organising other fundraisers.
To find out more about the charities, please see below.
bibic is a registered charity that helps children and young people aged from six months to 18-years-old with conditions affecting their development and learning abilities to achieve their potential for a happier and more fulfilled life.
These include developmental conditions such as Autism, Cerebral palsy, Down’s syndrome, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia and brain injury. The charity has a national assessment centre located at Langport in Somerset. Its therapists work closely with families to create a therapy programme, which provides them with the skills and strategies to support their child or children.
Lineham Farm, which is based near Leeds, is a charity that provides free activity holidays for school children aged from eight to 12-years-old. Activities include animal care, environmental studies, mountain biking, climbing and art.
Cornwall-based People and Gardens was set up to enable people with learning disabilities or emotional impairments to be able to develop as individuals, to learn work and social skills and to have equality of choice and opportunity in the workplace.
