How to dress your Christmas tree
www.elsieandfleur.co.uk has some top tips this year (2016) whether you have a real or artificial tree.
You should always start out by fluffing the branches to make it look as full as possible. Then think about your theme or colour scheme. Put the lights on first and make sure they are plugged in and switched on.
When placing your decorations on the tree start with one type of bauble and hang the decorations in a snaking pattern. This design will allow the eye to travel naturally. Keep standing back to check the overall effect and proportions. Decorations can be grouped in threes. Bows and ribbons are just as attention grabbing as baubles.
Keep decorating until the tree is full and add special ornaments or decorations to finish things off. No space for a traditional Christmas tree? www.elsieandfleur.co.uk has lots of small options available including some made of glass, driftwood and felt.
The products are made with love by artisan crafters and makers based in the Westcountry.
